Researching Training for the Highland Fling 2017

When I got home, I wanted to understand the entry process and then how to train for the big event.  The ballot opened and my name was in the hat. I was watching the amount of people signing up with nerves, as I really wanted a spot. By the close there were approx. 1,200 people signed up and only 1,000 places available. After a couple of days, my invitation came through (gulp) I was in. Yippee!  New to the process of trail ultra running, I joined the online communities and started reading up. I came across some great people in the process and thought, I need to download a plan, as I work much better to a structure and like to tick off the sessions to see how I am progressing. I pretty much loved the first 50-mile plan I came across and saved it to Microsoft Excel for editing.
